Your mind runs on your own AI account, so you stay in control of the model and the cost. On every plan that account is Claude, made by Anthropic. Setting it up takes about five minutes.
1.Know the one catch
A Claude subscription (Claude Pro or Max, the chat app) is not the same as an API key. Your Business Mind needs an API key. It comes from a separate developer account with pay-as-you-go billing. You can sign in to it with the same email you use for the Claude app, but its billing is separate.
2.Open the Anthropic Console
Go to the Claude Console (platform.claude.com, formerly console.anthropic.com) and sign up, or sign in. Confirm your email if asked.
3.Add billing
The API is prepaid: you buy credit, and each question uses a little of it. Open the billing page (Settings, then Billing), add a card and buy a starting amount of credit. A small amount goes a long way for one business.

4.Create the key
Open the API keys page (Settings, then API keys), click Create Key, name it something you will recognise, such as Your Business Mind, and create it.
Copy the key straight away. It starts with sk-ant-, and Anthropic only shows it once. If you lose it, delete it and create a new one.
5.Add it to Your Business Mind
If you are signing up, paste it in the Connect an AI key step and choose Anthropic. Already set up? Open Settings, then AI connection. When the key works, the app suggests a model for each kind of job; the suggestions are sensible, and you can change them any time.
Your key is stored encrypted and is never shown again, to anyone, you included.
6.If something goes wrong
“Invalid key”: check you copied the whole key, with no space at the start or end. If in doubt, create a fresh one.
It worked, then stopped: your credit has probably run out. Top it up on the billing page, or turn on auto-reload.
